OLD BUSINESS-NONE

PUBLIC WORKS- Tim gave an overview of what he has been doing. He was able to put the Cole Museum American Flags on the telephone poles on Route 9. All were in agreement that they look “awesome.”

PUBLIC SAFETY-Dude Hopkins said things have been very quiet.

A.C.O. PERRI PETERSON- unable to attend.

FIRE TOWER ROAD/HISTORICAL SIGN- Robbie Gross from the State of Maine called the Town concerning the old Fire Tower property. After some discussion the board supports the Forestry Dept transferring the Fire tower Property to IFW. IF&W owns the Mt Harris property which abuts this property. Mr. Gross said they will put up signage explaining the Historical significance. The public will still be able to access the property.

VERNAL POOL ON LILLIAN’S LANE- Serena explained the concern with the property concerning Vernal Pools. After meeting with DEP and IF&W last week the vernal pool was deemed “non-significant.” They did state that there needs to be a Burm of erosion mulch, other than that the town should be good to go. Beth warned that, in addition to the mulch, it is important that we do no more incursion into that site.

HUD is having a webinar on June 24th that Serena will get on and do. Serena needs to SAM# and needs to get on and register that with them. As of right now we are still unable to go on the land to start doing anything as Serena still doesn’t know what HUD wants. She said we must be patient.

EARNED PAYLEAVE BENEFITS REVISION - Shirlene explained the revisions. The Board signed the revisions.

ROUTE 143 PROPERTY UPDATE- Serena and David stopped at 5:00 pm today. They were working on tearing the camper apart and there were several piles of wood. They had a 15-yard dumpster pack full that went today. Serena explained the Mitchell’s plan. Serena said they are making good progress and they are trying. She said looking at it now seems to be mostly wood and the camper. They are working on it all being gone by the end of the month. David said Ms. Mitchell is “iffy” of whether or not she is staying. The Board members emphasized that if she did stay she MUST have a permitted outhouse/port-a-potty. A question/concern of human waste was asked. Serena said that she saw no 5 gallon buckets. Ms Mitchell told her that she uses a friend’s house for showers and Orcutt’s Variety Port-a-potty. There were comments/concerns about the possibility of human waste being dumped into the stream behind them. Serena said there is no evidence of that and David said they are aware the town is watching.

MISC/PUBLIC COMMENT—

Tim Rogers asked about the contract with the Penobscot County Sheriff. Serena said she has given her personal email for contact. She has heard nothing. She will call tomorrow again.

Richard Proctor asked to remember Bradley Moore as he is being deployed. He also commented on how “awesome” the Flags look and thanked Tim for putting them up.

Randy Nason is concerned with a tree on South Road which is in the driving lane, going to cause an accident. Tim will call the state again on it.
