SELECT BOARD MEETING AGENDA/MINUTES

02/03/2026

Present- Serena Bemis, David Bright, Shirlene Lindsey, Julie Bonin, Tim Rogers

Absent- Jim Zimmerman

Others present- Margarete Ebel, Lois Rowe, Dude Hopkins, Ryan & Raven Hopkins, Chris Easton, Sandy Cromwell, Randy Nason, John Barry, Phil Smith.

CALL MEETING TO ORDER - FLAG SALUTE- Serena opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

AGENDA ADJUSTMENTS – NONE

APPROVE MINUTES – January 20 & 30, 2025 Minutes- A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes as written. Motion passed unanimously.

4. WARRANTS - A. Payroll Warrant #1-$7831.22

B. Accounts Payable #2 - $161,523.13

The board reviewed and approved the warrants. The board signed the warrants.

OLD BUSINESS- Serena announced that she received a phone call from Susan Collins office informing her that Dixmont received the Federal Grant for the new Fire Station. There will be ongoing conversations.

PUBLIC WORKS REPORT- Mainly focused on Snowplowing. Tim said he has received a load of salt and with another one coming. Tim said this would take us thru the rest of the winter.

PUBLIC SAFETY-Ryan said they have a new truck in service. He said the Department has been very busy.

MISC/PUBLIC COMMENT-

LRAP Fund Correction- There was a year included in the figures that shouldn’t have been included. $39,556.00 is the correct unused LRAP.

Payrate change- This is for the Transfer Station Attendants. David Clifford will go from $19.00 to $20.00 an hour and David Duff will go from $18.00 to $19.00 an hour. A motion was made and seconded to approve the payrate change. Motion passed unanimously.

SELECTBOARD CONCERN/COMMENTS:

A. DAVID- Commented that the purchase of the Dillon property by IF&W has been finalized..

B. JIM-absent

C. SERENA-wanted to publicly apologize for her comments made on Facebook concerning the icy condition of the Troy Center Road which she lives on. She would also like it noted that she had a previous comment praising the Road Crew on the wonderful job they were doing and was hoping that is the comment that all remembers.
