Dedicated Service
The Dixmont Fire Department provides emergency services to our community.
Our Services
The Dixmont Fire Department has been a vital part of the community for generations. What began as a small group of dedicated volunteers has grown into a trained and organized department committed to protecting the lives, homes, and businesses of Dixmont. Over the years, our firefighters have responded to countless emergencies — from structure and brush fires to medical calls and vehicle accidents.
The foundation of our department has always been neighbors helping neighbors. Even in the early days, with limited resources, the people of Dixmont came together to ensure the safety and well-being of their community. That same spirit of service continues to guide us today.
While we are proud of our history, the Dixmont Fire Department is always looking forward. Our goal is to provide the highest level of service possible, and we are working hard to build a stronger future for our town. Current efforts include:
- Upgrading equipment and facilities to improve safety and efficiency.
- Expanding training to prepare for a wide variety of emergencies.
- Recruiting new volunteers to keep the department strong for years to come.
- Building community partnerships through fire prevention, safety education, and public events.
We are committed not only to responding when emergencies happen but also to creating a safer and more prepared community every day.
A Department Built on Service
The Dixmont Fire Department remains dedicated to the values that shaped it — service, commitment, and community. With the continued support of Dixmont residents, we are confident in building a safer tomorrow while honoring the proud traditions of our past.
