Dixmont Historical Society Committee 2024

Looking back from 2006, when the Historical Society Committee began the task of renovating the Town House, we are aware that without community interest we could never have accomplished as much as we have thus far.  The Committee would like to again express our sincere thanks for the continued support we have received.

2021 we were able to add a restroom to bring us closer to making the building usable for community events.

2022 we have painted and started to work on finishing the inside of the restroom.  Several committees have started to meet at the Town House now that the restroom can be used. Watch for updates on the Town Office sign, posters, or signs in local stores announcing news and events.

2023 We are finishing the inside of the restroom and adding fixtures and a ramp for the entrance of restroom. We will be working on configuring the inside of the Old Town House so our meeting area is in a corner and we have more space to work on displaying pictures and displays in our collection.

2024 The Town House has been open to many town committees that have used the building as a meeting location. We continue to work on having a larger digital presence and are working on digitalizing our records..

The Dixmont Historical Society contracted with Sprague's Greenhouse to bring beautiful Chrysanthemums to Dixmont for your gardening pleasure again in 2024, Please contact the Town Office for an order form or contact a committee member. Forms can be downloaded from this site as well.

Thank you for Your Continued Support!
